Meet Our Team in Maryland

Originally from Nepal and currently residing in Ellicott City, Maryland, she began her journey in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) after her son was diagnosed with autism in 2015. Witnessing his progress toward independence inspired a deep passion for the field, leading her to begin her professional career in 2019. Since then, she has been dedicated to helping families achieve meaningful goals for their children with special needs. She is a strong advocate for compassionate care and encourages her team to practice with the highest level of integrity.

Sara received her Master of Science in Applied Behavior Analysis from Oregon Tech. She enjoys working with children of all abilities and ages and their families. During client sessions, she promotes communication and autonomy with a client-first approach throughout treatment. She believes sessions should be fun and incorporate play and lots of opportunities to learn in the natural environment. Sara is certified to provide crisis prevention and response training to supervisees and parents as a Safety-Care Trainer. When Sara is not with her clients, she enjoys exploring the East Coast with her husband and four boys, mostly by driving her boys to their year-round wrestling tournaments.

My name is Wintana Mesfin, and I earned my degree from Simmons College. I was drawn to the field of Applied Behavior Analysis because of my passion for helping others, particularly children, reach their fullest potential. One of the most rewarding aspects of my work is watching clients develop new skills, gain independence, and make meaningful progress toward their goals. I am committed to providing compassionate, individualized support that helps each client succeed.

Outside of work, I am a proud dog mom to two dogs, who keep me active, entertained, and bring a lot of joy to my life.

Ever since I was a little girl, I knew I wanted to work with children. I was not sure what I wanted to do exactly. I never thought I would work with children with disabilities, let alone love every minute of it. I started out in the ABA field as a paraprofessional working in an early intervention program with children with autism. On the first day of the job, I was hooked! I fell in love with my students and I knew this is exactly what I wanted to do. I decided to map out my future and education to continue serving children with exceptionalities in a different capacity.

My first step was obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Exceptional Education degree in 2013 from SUNY Old Westbury, NY. I worked as a classroom teacher in inclusive classrooms as well as self-contained classrooms for about five years in public and charter schools. I worked with students in Kindergarten through eighth grade. Due to the restrictions, policies, and guidelines within the school system, I felt I was not meeting my students' needs or those of their families; in many instances I felt as if I was failing them because I wanted to do more for my students but I couldn't. This fueled my motivation to return to school to obtain a Master of Arts in Curriculum & Instruction, with an emphasis in Applied Behavior Analysis, from Arizona State University in 2019.

I obtained my BCBA certification soon after graduation, which gave me all the tools I needed to truly serve my students and my families. Since I obtained my certification in 2021, it has been a joy to partner with students and families and support their journey toward independence, progress, and confidence. I am so thankful to serve in this capacity.

Pat Delaney has had a unique and diverse journey into the field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). She began her professional career as an opera singer and musical theater performer before pursuing a second graduate degree in Special Education, with a concentration in behavioral disorders and learning disabilities.

With more than 20 years of experience in the field, Pat has worked in a wide range of settings, including clients' homes, outpatient clinics, day programs, and psychiatric hospitals. Her extensive background has provided her with the expertise to support individuals with diverse behavioral and developmental needs across the lifespan.

Pat's approach is firmly grounded in the science of Applied Behavior Analysis while maintaining a strong commitment to helping each client achieve the highest level of independence possible. She believes that evidence-based interventions, individualized programming, and compassionate collaboration with families and interdisciplinary teams are essential to meaningful and lasting outcomes.

Pat began her career in New England and later relocated to the Mid-Atlantic region, where she continues to provide high-quality behavioral services and mentorship within the ABA community. Outside of working as a BCBA she enjoys going to the beach, cooking, gardening and tending to her two cats and husband in their Pennsylvania home.

Credentials and Education Martha Sierra, BCBA, holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) from Ball State University. She is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst with extensive training and a profound commitment to enhancing the lives of individuals with autism.

Professional Experience Martha has extensive experience working with both children and adults affected by Autism Spectrum Disorder. Her career spans over 6 years, during which she has developed and implemented comprehensive ABA programs tailored to the unique needs of her clients. Her expertise encompasses a broad range of behavioral interventions, which she applies to foster significant behavioral improvements and enhance overall quality of life.

Approach to Therapy Martha’s approach to therapy is holistic and person-centered. She believes in working collaboratively with families, educators, and other professionals to create supportive environments that encourage positive changes. By integrating cutting-edge ABA techniques and maintaining a compassionate understanding of her clients' challenges, Martha ensures that each therapeutic plan is not only scientifically sound but also deeply respectful of the individual’s dignity and potential for growth.

Vision and Commitment Dedicated to both her professional advancement and her clients' success, Martha continuously seeks out the latest research in behavioral science to enhance her practice. Her ultimate goal is to provide effective, evidence-based interventions that empower individuals with autism to lead fulfilling and rewarding lives.

Dwaine Marfori is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) with over 15 years of experience working with children and families across a variety of clinical, home, school, and community settings. Since becoming a BCBA, he has specialized in designing individualized, evidence-based treatment programs that promote meaningful, lasting improvements in communication, social skills, adaptive behavior, and independence.

Dwaine believes that successful ABA is built on collaboration, compassion, and practical strategies that fit naturally into each family’s daily life. He works closely with caregivers, educators, and behavior technicians to create supportive environments where children can thrive and reach their fullest potential.

Throughout his career, Dwaine has provided services to individuals with a wide range of developmental and behavioral needs and has supervised and mentored behavior technicians while maintaining a strong commitment to clinical quality and ethical practice. His goal is to help every child develop skills that increase independence, confidence, and overall quality of life. Outside of work, Dwaine enjoys photography, traveling with his family, exploring the outdoors, and spending time with his wife, their two children, and their Golden Retriever.

Fenton Horton III, a dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) with over a year of experience in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), plays a pivotal role at All Star ABA. Specializing in implementing tailored programs for individuals with developmental, emotional, and intellectual disabilities, Fenton is passionate about providing top-quality care, particularly to children on the autism spectrum. His strong interpersonal skills foster relationships with both clients and their families, ensuring compassionate service delivery. With a focus on training and developing new RBTs, Fenton is committed to expanding the presence of skilled technicians in the field, aiming to help them excel. He is currently pursuing studies in computer information systems and has completed 40+ hours of BACB-approved training. His passion for technology, gaming, and animation complements his playful, joyful nature, which he brings to every interaction.

Katia Elen Acosta Buelvas, a certified RBT and yoga teacher, brings over 10 years of experience working with children of all ages, including those on the autism spectrum. Originally from Colombia, she pursued education to become an English teacher and holds an Associate Degree in Arts with a major in Business. As a lead RBT at All Star ABA, Katia plays a vital role in providing behavioral intervention, implementing one-on-one programs for children with autism. She is also part of the training team, offering guidance to new and current RBTs. Katia floats between various clients, gaining extensive experience while supporting families in schools, clinics, and home settings. Her passion for helping others is driven by the joy of hearing, "We're so glad you're here today." Her professional goal is to become a BCBA. In her free time, Katia enjoys practicing hot yoga, writing poetry, caring for her two Bengal cats, and attending concerts, with a love for classical music, art, and ceramics.
