Can ABA Therapy Be Done Online?

ABA therapy is traditionally delivered in person, but many families now ask if it can be done online. The answer is yes, virtual ABA therapy is possible and increasingly common. Online sessions use secure video platforms where therapists guide children through structured activities, track progress, and coach parents or caregivers in real time.

Virtual ABA can be especially helpful for families who live far from clinics, have busy schedules, or need flexible options. It allows children to receive consistent support without the challenges of travel. Parents also benefit from being more directly involved, as therapists often provide strategies that can be applied at home between sessions.

However, online ABA may not be suitable for every child. Some children thrive better with in‑person interaction, especially if they require hands‑on guidance or have difficulty engaging through a screen. The best approach depends on individual needs, goals, and family circumstances.

At All Star ABA, we provide both in‑person and online ABA therapy in Maryland, and Virginia.
